Ellen can't say, "O-Oh, well, Christina's mom was mean and Christina didn't like it so some random person needs to be her mother at 28 an' I 'on' (and I don't) give a shit about her relationship with her mom." What? I care about my relationships. I don't have anyone who's worth anything to me in the world, those people with their little German pinkies and whatnot.
